Privacy policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how THUMBGEEK TECNOLOGIA, LDA (NIPC 518630625) (“we”, “us”, or “Roam Paths”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit roampaths.com, place an order, create an account, subscribe to updates, or contact us.

THUMBGEEK TECNOLOGIA, LDA is the seller responsible for your purchases and customer support, and the controller of personal information we process for our store purposes. Our platform and payment providers process information to deliver their services, as explained below. Their involvement does not transfer our responsibilities for your purchase or our own processing of your personal information.

This policy provides information about our data practices. It does not replace consent where consent is required by applicable law.

1. Who we are / Contact

THUMBGEEK TECNOLOGIA, LDA

Cascais, Lisboa 2750-152
Portugal
Email: help@roampaths.com
Phone: +351 913 605 767 (Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00, Europe/Lisbon)

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at the email above. We respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the store, fulfill orders, and support you. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

  • Identity and contact details — name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address.
  • Order and transaction details — products ordered, amounts, order status, returns or exchanges, and related notes.
  • Payment-related information — at this time checkout accepts PayPal and Shopify Payments. These providers perform payment processing; we receive confirmation needed to fulfill your order, not your full PayPal password or full card number.
  • Account information — if you create an account: email address, sign-in information processed through Shopify customer accounts, and preferences.
  • Communications — messages you send us (for example support requests) and related correspondence.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, general device information, pages viewed, and similar technical data collected automatically when you browse the site (including via cookies or similar technologies described below).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health data) through this storefront.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Process and fulfill orders, arrange delivery, and handle returns or refunds.
  • Communicate about your order, account, or support requests.
  • Process payments securely through PayPal and Shopify Payments at checkout (as shown when you place an order).
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and shopping experience (for example remembering cart contents or preventing fraud).
  • Send service messages; and, where allowed by law and your choices, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms and policies.

We do not sell personal information for money. Where advertising services are used, disclosure of identifiers or browsing activity may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state privacy laws even without payment. See sections 5, 6, and 10 for information and choices. We do not publish your personal images or testimonials in advertising without your permission.

4. Legal bases (where required)

Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract (fulfilling your order); our legitimate interests (running and securing the store, preventing fraud, improving the site) balanced against your rights; consent (for example certain cookies or marketing, where required); and legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We use service providers to operate our store and fulfill orders. Information is disclosed as needed for the following purposes:

  • Shopify: our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform, checkout, customer-account services, and related security and operational services. Shopify processes information about your visits, transactions, and interactions to provide these services. We remain responsible for operating this store and meeting our obligations to customers.
  • PayPal and Shopify Payments: payment and transaction information is processed by the provider for the payment method selected at checkout, to complete the transaction. We remain responsible for your order, customer support, and refunds under our Refund Policy.
  • Fulfillment and delivery: the order, name, address, and contact information needed to pack, ship, and deliver your purchase and handle returns.
  • Store operations: providers of transactional email, customer support, fraud prevention, and technical services receive information needed for those services.
  • Analytics and advertising: where these services are used, device identifiers and activity information may be disclosed to measure performance and deliver or measure advertising, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices.
  • Legal and safety: disclosures required by law or valid legal process, or necessary to protect rights, customers, and store security.

Service providers process information as necessary for their services. Some processing, such as payment security, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal obligations, may be determined by the provider. This factual description does not make them the seller or transfer our responsibilities to you. We remain responsible for our own data practices and for handling privacy requests directed to our company.

If Shopify Enhanced Services are enabled for this store, Shopify may use information from your interactions with our store, together with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify, to provide those services. Contact us with questions about this processing or use the privacy choices available on this site. We will assist with requests and coordinate with relevant service providers where needed.

You can use our Your Privacy Choices page to exercise available opt-out choices concerning sale or sharing for targeted advertising, or contact us at help@roampaths.com.

For details about Shopify's processing of personal information, including Shopify Enhanced Services, see Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy. You can use Shopify's Privacy Portal to learn about and exercise applicable rights concerning Shopify's processing, including withdrawing consent or objecting where applicable. These resources explain the platform's data practices; they do not transfer our responsibilities as your seller or our own data-protection obligations.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies and similar technologies support functions such as your cart, checkout, sign-in, and security. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, where used, help measure visits and advertising performance and may involve the disclosures described above.

Use Your Privacy Choices for available sale, sharing, and targeted-advertising choices. Where a cookie preference control is displayed for your location, you can use it to manage optional categories. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; this can affect store features and is not the same as submitting a sale or sharing opt-out request. Contact us if you need help with your choices.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. Checkout and pages that collect personal information use secure connections (HTTPS/SSL). No method of transmission or storage is completely risk-free; keep your email account and any sign-in codes or account credentials secure.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example order and tax records for the period required by law, account data while your account remains active, and support correspondence for a reasonable period — then delete or anonymize it where feasible.

9. International transfers

We are based in Portugal. Information may be processed in Portugal and in other countries where our systems or necessary service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures).

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Residents of the EEA or UK may contact their local data-protection authority. To exercise rights with us, email help@roampaths.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. You will still receive transactional messages about orders you place.

Where applicable US state law provides these rights, you may also opt out of sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising, and appeal our response to a privacy request by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. See Your Privacy Choices for available controls and information about Global Privacy Control.

11. Children

This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Responsibility and assistance

Our responsibility: THUMBGEEK TECNOLOGIA, LDA is your seller and is responsible for order fulfillment, customer service, returns, refunds, and our obligations under applicable law. Payment, platform, and delivery providers support our operations; using their services does not transfer or reduce our responsibilities to you. Contact help@roampaths.com for assistance with your purchase or a privacy request.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy and will revise the "Last updated" date when we do. We will provide notice of material changes and seek consent where required by applicable law. Continued use of the store does not replace any consent required by law.

14. Contact for privacy requests
